Ever wonder what an Empire Saber Guild rehearsal is like? Check it out!

The EMP (Experience Music Project) Museum was the first stop for the Star Wars & the Power of Costume exhibit’s 12-city national tour and the Jet City Saber Guild was honored to perform at the opening and closing nights of the exhibit.

Saber Guild is a volunteer charity group that performs costumed lightsaber live choreography for all sorts of events – proceeds go to organizations like CHOC. We are an international group that is recognized by Lucasfilm Limited. Saber Guild can do any manner of appearance from simple trooping events all the way to large conventions like WonderCon or San Diego ComicCon.



The Seattle Temple of Saber Guild International celebrates one year performing choreographed lightsaber battles in and around the Seattle area. Jet City Saber Guild is proud to honor the hard work of all our members, aides and friends over 2015. We can’t wait to see what we can accomplish in year two!

St. Mary’s Children’s Hospital is one of only a handful of organizations around the country that is dedicated to providing intensive rehabilitation, specialized care, and education to children with special needs and life-limiting conditions. When Empire Saber Guild learned about the amazing work St. Mary’s was doing they reached out to help and perform for the kids. After weeks of rehearsals and preparation Empire Saber Guild performed the Force Experience for the children and taught them how to use lightsabers.

Jet City Saber Guild was proud to perform at the opening night party for the Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit at EMP Museum in January 2015. The night’s activities included appearances by Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams, children’s crafts, music and costume contests. Saber Guild also ran kids’ lightsaber training sessions.Featuring nearly 60 hand-crafted costumes from the first six Star Wars films, Rebel, Jedi, Princess, Queen: Star Wars™ and the Power of Costume reveals the powerful connection between character and costume.


On Saturday, July 30, 2016, the Jet City crew took to the streets and joined other auditioned marching teams in the Torchlight Parade, which kickstarts the 10-week summer festival, Seafair. Here are some highlights from three miles of nonstop sabering!

The Jet City Saber Guild was pleased to perform their original show, The Trials of Ren, at the annual Washington State Fair in summer 2016. The fair is the largest attraction in Washington and is one of the top 10 largest fairs in the country. Over a million people enjoyed the fair over the month of September.

“Duel of the Dunces” is an original Jet City Saber Guild production, performed live before the kids of the Seattle Ronald McDonald House in December 2016. Check out https://www.rmhcseattle.org/ for more info on the great work that RMDH does for families.

Jet City Saber Guild returned to Emerald City Comicon for the third year in a row this March, where they trained padawans in the ways of the Force and participated in the Star Wars Experience room with the local 501st and Rebel Legion chapters. The charity funds the Star Wars groups raised for Seattle Children’s Hospital exceeded the 2016 amount and totaled over $23,000!
