Jedi Costume Standards

Jedi Knight
Costuming Requirements

Before buying material or a complete costume or beginning costume construction, please discuss these standards with your local director or Local Costume Consular. Standard custom Jedi should appear to be from the Clone Wars/Prequels era of Star Wars. This will consist of tunic with under tunic, tabards and obi, pants or skirt, belt (with pouches, food capsules and covertec), tall boots, and an optional cloak. Refer to colors and design per item description. When considering use of “alternate colors,” these colors can be used as trim or moderate details, or as an accent to an earth tone item. The alternate colors of taupe and earthy green may also be used for the tunic OR other alternate colors for up to 2 of the 3 additional pieces: under tunic, tabards or obi. Download the pantone file here for guidance on acceptable colors.

Once a Costume has been submitted the Costume Consulars will begin the approval process; however, the Global Council may override the Costume Consulars decisions if they feel it to be necessary. Costumes must be accurate to screen and have a Jedi look. No highly customized characters will be accepted. The general public must be able to identify you as Jedi: not as an elf, Ninja, etc. with a lightsaber. Please find further detail on our forum here. Also visit our forum here if you are looking for information on how to upgrade an already-approved costume.
